Finding Feminism Millenial Activists and the Unfinished Gender Revolution

How are new generations of feminists reinvigorating the movement? In this talk, Alison Dahl Crossley will share insights from her book Finding Feminism, based on a study of student feminists from racially and geographically diverse backgrounds, including at UC Santa Barbara. By analyzing participants' intersectional feminist identities a well as the organizational strategies and structures of their feminist organizations, she highlights the complex and naunced dimensions of feminisms' persistence. She received her PhD from UCSB in Sociology with an emphasis in Feminist Studies and is currently the Associate Director of the Clayman Institute for Gender Research at Stanford University.
