The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has awarded four $100,000 grants apiece to the departments of Asian American Studies, Black Studies, Chicana/o Studies, and Feminist Studies. These gifts come as part of the multimillion-dollar Affirming Multivocal Humanities Initiative (https://www.mellon.org/features/affirming-multivocal-humanities), committed to supporting racial, ethnic, gender, and sexuality studies in public college and university programs.
